Giving Employees Paid Time Off to Vote & Volunteer

Next Tuesday, November 6th is Election Day, and no matter whom you support, we believe in your right to share your voice by voting. So we’re taking concrete actions to do our part to help members of our community turn out and participate in this election.

Making an Impact Locally

What’s Badger doing? We’re offering employees paid time off to vote and volunteer in support of elections on Tuesday. And thanks to our employee-led Sustainability Committee, we have a volunteer board where folks can find and sign up for opportunities at local polling stations, from working as greeters to providing nonpartisan rides to anyone in need of transportation. We’re also encouraging employees to find their own way of helping out on Election Day.

Special shout out to Patagonia for closing up shop nationwide on November 6 and giving employees paid time off

Time to Vote Campaign

Badger has joined a diverse coalition of businesses including Patagonia, Eileen Fisher, Levi Strauss & Co., and KIND Healthy Snacks in support of the Time to Vote campaign, a nonpartisan effort led by CEOs, aimed at increasing voter participation by raising awareness about the steps employers can take to allow time for their employees to vote. The companies joining this campaign are committed to increasing voter participation through programs such as paid time off, a day without meetings and resources for mail-in ballots and early voting. If your company is interested in joining the campaign, visit MakeTimeToVote.org.

From everyone at Badger, thank you!
