How to Use Cleansing Milk and Balancing Mist

New Rose Face Care from Badger

I absolutely love washing my face. Growing up, it felt like such a chore as I wavered between gels and scrubs and soaps, never getting the desired result and always feeling like I rubbed my face raw. However, since using Badger face care products, I have learned that cleansing my face can be gentle, uplifting, and even empowering. So when our product development team announced the creation of a Cleansing Milk and Balancing Mist, I was elated.

If you’ve been clamoring for a non-oil cleanser and/or rose hydrosol, this is your year! We’re thrilled to introduce Cleansing Milk and Balancing Mist to our Damascus Rose line. Both of these products feature our beloved certified organic rose and fair trade aloe ingredients, making them incredibly soothing and calming for dry, delicate skin. Read on to discover how to use the Cleansing Milk and Balancing Mist and why these are sure to become staples in your skincare routine.

Cleansing Milk

How to use Cleansing Milk

This is a dream of a cleanser. Non-drying, delicately scented with Damascus rose and lavender, ultra-gentle, and silky in texture, this creamy cleanser is a great daily restorative for dry or delicate skin. In fact, it’s gentle enough to be used both morning and night! Badger Jess calls it “an absolute game-changer.”

This cleansing milk is for those moments when your skin needs a little more nourishing than usual. It’s for those moments when most other cleansers feel too strong. It’s for when you want a non-GMO, cruelty-free, certified gluten-free face cleanser that contains 65% fair trade and 89% certified organic ingredients. This cleansing milk is for when you want to take a trip to the spa without leaving the comfort of your own home.

If you’re already a fan of our cleansing oils, you may find yourself asking why you’d want to consider using our cleansing milk. Personally, I treat it as an additional cleansing option in my daily skincare routine. It doesn’t replace my beloved Seabuckthorn Cleansing Oil. Instead, I use it on the days my skin needs a little extra nourishment.

How to use Cleansing Milk:

This creamy cleaning milk can be used the same as a traditional face wash. Simply massage onto dry or damp skin in an upward circular motion, rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, and pat dry with a clean cloth. Looking for a deeper cleanse? Switch out your cleansing routine with a Badger Cleansing Oil once a week. Once your skin is dry, tone your face with our Balancing Mist followed by your favorite moisturizer.

Balancing Mist

How to use Balancing Mist

Never have I ever been so in love with a face care product. Just a few spritzes whisk me away to the delightfully fragrant rose fields of Bulgaria. This Balancing Mist is formulated mostly with organic rose hydrosol (rose flower water) and fair trade certified aloe, making it incredibly refreshing, cooling, and soothing. This delectable balancing mist, used after cleansing or as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up, is sure to uplift your spirits any time of the day!

How to use Balancing Mist:

Lightly mist or wipe over your face and neck after cleansing to refresh, tone and balance your skin. Finish your face care routine with any Badger facial moisturizer. Depending on the time of day, I recommend using a Rose Face SPF Lotion in the morning or lathering up with a lovely Face Oil before heading to bed.

Next Steps

Healthy-looking skin comes from living a healthy lifestyle. In addition to using natural face care products with organic ingredients, it’s also important to drink plenty of water, get plenty of rest, and protect your face from UV rays by using sunscreen. Remember that incorporating these healthy habits is a process, so be gentle with yourself at the start! And don’t forget to stop and smell the roses now and then. You deserve it.

  • My favourite skin care routine is a simple one because my skin is so sensitive and easily irritated — a good cream cleanser, nourishing mask every 2-3 days, face cream and last but not least, Badger Damascus Rose Balm on the under eyes and eyelids!

  • As a long time Badger, I am thrilled to see the new Rose Cleansing Milk and Mist! Although i love the cleansing oils, I also like cleansing milks, I am so happy you have developed these products! Please bring back your soaps – they were so luxurious and I miss them so much! Also hope you develop a moisturizing face lotion and body lotion. With your commitment to quality products, I know these will be winners!

Couldn’t agree more with you! I would love to have the old Badger bar soaps back plus face lotion, eye cream and body lotion. Anything Badger develops usually is a winner. They take pride in the whole development process and in the ingredients used so it’s not just another mass produced product running after the newest hype.

  • My favorite skincare routine consists of cleansing, toning, misting, and then a combo of serums and moisturizers. My skin is so dry so it needs all the hydration it can get!

  • My favorite skincare routine: rub oil cleanser on dry skin, allow the shower steam to work on my face before rinsing it off, finish with face oil and sunscreen (balm at night). Currently using a rose water mist from another brand so I am stoked about your new Balancing Mist!

  • Simple and gentle is my go-to face routine! I’ve learned what my skin likes and doesn’t. More natural less ingredients is always better for me!

  • I’m very excited to try these new rose products. I moved to Colorado a few years ago and was desperate for a new routine to help with my newly dehydrated skin. These rose products are my go to and I always share the secret of cleansing with oil when I get the chance. I’m especially excited to try the mist!

  • I love to take my time with a good oil cleanse—I feel like it’s an important step in my self care and self love routine (which is why I love using the Damascus Rose line!). Then I follow up with the face oil and the balm under my eyes, and I drift off to sleep.

  • I like to rinse and wash my face day and night. I moisturize right after, also once before bed. I seldom do masks, but sometimes exfoliate.

  • I usually use a chamomile cleansing oil to remove eye makeup! I use toner mornings and nights. Then I follow up with a serum (usually retinol), face oil, and a spray mist!

  • My favorite skincare routine already involves organic rosewater and Badger’s rose face oil, so I am very excited to see a rose cleansing milk and toner. Oil cleansing definitely gets the job done, but I’m partial to something I can use in the shower. Problem is: a lot of those water-based products can be rather drying. These look like the perfect luxury essentials for the lazy girl (or guy) who wants the best of both worlds. Thanks, Badger, for thinking of us low-maintenance folks when formulating additions to your rose collection!

  • I am planning on using the Cleansing Milk daily also for eye make-up removal if it won’t sting my eyes. At the moment I am using the Damaskus Rose cleansing oil all over my face and the Unscented cleansing oil for eye make-up removal. I will still incorporate my Badger cleansing oils when I need a deeper clean. It’s also possible to first use the milk and then follow with cleansing oil as a double cleansing process. I have always been using toners before facial oil application. Have been saying since years that Badger needs to make a rose hydrosol and couldn’t be happier that it’s finally here. The toner helps to calm skin down after washing and helps the oil to sink into skin. I never have trouble applying mineral make-up over the oil. I usually tone and massage Badger’s Damaskus rose facial oil into damp skin. For day time after it’s soaked in I follow with the Damaskus Rose tinted spf lotion. At night I use the rose facial oil paired with the rose balm-the balm works great as an overnight repair deep treatment or eye cream. The rose hydrosol will probably also work great to set mineral make-up powder or freshen up throughout the day. I can also see it perform well after sun to cool off skin due to the aloe in it. Another thing I have tried is adding a little bit of Badger’s aloe gel to the facial oil-it makes the oil more lightweight and I get the added benefit from aloe as a daily moisturizer. I love applying the aloe also in between to freshen up my skin. It has a nice tightening and cooling effect and is such a pure product. Very excited about the ingredient lists in these new products especially since they contain my all time favorite ingredients aloe and rose! Well done Badgers. Keep up the great work! Love the new labels which are showcasing the beautiful art work.

  • I love the information here, I don’t have a regular facial routine because I find it so daunting with all the facial products out there and my dry combination skin. This helps me understand more. Thank you.

  • I love your rose cleansing oil, but it leaves a little too much residue on my skin to use before applying makeup. I’ve been looking for a new morning cleanser, but I haven’t found any that I like. Your cleansing milk sounds perfect for me!

And I’ve been looking for another toner since the one I use is only available seasonally. I can’t wait to try yours!

  • Congratulations! These both look lovely. I enjoy both a cleansing milk and hydrosols so they will be a welcome addition to my routine.

  • I am so excited for these 2 new products. My favorite part of my skincare routine is probably toning because it feels so good to spray a mist on my face, especially after a long day. But the cleansing milk looks awesome. I only use cleansing oil so this will be a nice way to cleanse in the shower as the oils aren’t really easy to use in the shower. So excited!!

I have struggled with my acne prone oily/combination skin for a long time. I currently use the argan oil face oil and it seems to be helping. Although there are times i have dry skin days that i think this set will help me.

  • Organic Coconut oil for makeup removal. Then alcohol free witch hazel toner. Then Organic Bulgarian rosewater spray. Finish with my Badger rose facial oil and Badger rose beauty balm around eyes and neck. Super excited to try these new ones!

  • Currently I use the cleansing oil (sensitive skin) and end with the Rose Balm or the Rose Face Oil. I am excited to try these new products! I make a makeup setting spray with Frankincense and Myrrh to use after I apply my makeup and to refresh skin throughout the day, but I may have to give this one a try. I also like to use the Clear Zinc sunscreen instead of the Rose Face sunscreen. I love the dewy look. I could really use a toner, so I think my first purchase might by the balancing mist followed by the cleansing milk.

  • My favorite thing to do in my skin care routine is to make sure I use a good toner in the morning and at night. I cannot go without hydrating my skin. I have an oily combo skin type so I love to use toners with aloe vera and witch hazel. I look forward to this new toner with rose hydrosol. 🙂
